While asking for help can be a frightening experience, it doesn’t have to be. I strive to take the frightening out of therapy, and utilize empowering strategies to help individuals become the very best that they can be. My professional experience involves working with teens, adults, and couples. I have experience with individuals working through traumas such as being victims of rape, incest, bullying, and abuse. I also work with military personnel, assisting through traumas such as PTSD, and assisting with reintegration.

As a mental health professional, my goal is to assist in living a more productive and happy life, by enabling clients to successfully cope with the struggles. My theory is that by being able to work through the issues that tend to come up, we can increase the quality of life for each individual. In other words, instead of trudging through each day, we can dance through it, and we can LIVE. That’s what life is about, right?

If you are interested in living a happier-more productive life, I am available on Monday-Thursday 7:00 am until 6:00 pm, and Fridays in Janesville 7:00-noon. I look forward to working with you.

I am currently accepting new clients in both our Madison and Janesville locations.

Sam

I began my career working with women who had experienced trauma and this compelled me to pursue my Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin- Madison and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have experience working in residential eating disorder treatment, outpatient substance use, and mental health treatment. I volunteer at the Free Health Clinic in Stoughton, WI as a mental health therapist. When I am not in the office I enjoy spending time with my family and in nature. I offer individual outpatient therapy for individuals struggling with mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, eating disorders and substance use disorders. My approach is client-centered and client-lead, informed by clinical theory. I tailor my approaches to each individual because I believe that there are different paths to healing and living our best lives. Now accepting clients in our Janesville office.
