Confidence can come from knowing you have choices. Each person’s life experiences are unique and have taught them to use certain skills and tools. It is my goal as a therapist not to tell you how live, but to help you develop a few more skills and tools so you can be more confident in the choices you make. I use a strength based approach that includes drawing from cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, solution focused, and systems therapy.
In addition to my formal education, my journey includes serving in the military, being a parent, and working in a therapeutic group home for teenagers for more than a decade. I have spent hundreds of hours in trainings pertaining to therapeutic intervention, cultural competency and sensitivity, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention.
As a veteran I want to extend any assistance I can to the veteran community as well as all other emergency responders, but beyond that I want to assist anyone looking to make a positive change in their life.
